Used to be football players could take a bit of a breather before getting ripped to shreds by their own coaches while watching film (video) during game-review day, traditionally held on Mondays with your squad as a witness to the barrage.

Now, thanks to social media, any negative feedback that could have possibly been held for reflection until Monday, is often being hurled at NFL players the instant the game is over.

Fueled by NFL players chiming in on Twitter about Chicago Bears Jay Cutler’s sitting out most of the second half of the Bears’ NFC championship game loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, reporters were able to ask pointed questions with added confidence.

“All I’m saying is that he can finish the game on a hurt knee … I played the whole season on one,” tweeted Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew.
